Hilary did a terrific job photographing our wedding. As a professional filmmaker, I hold a pretty high aesthetic standard and before hiring her, I interviewed a number of photographers. Hilary's work stood out. So much wedding photography is hokey or people look uncomfortable and posed. The photos Hilary took at our wedding are both elegant and candid. She was firm about getting the photos we'd asked for and always maintained a pleasant and polite manner. Working with her was a delight. Finally, in addition to the standard groupings and shots, she managed to spot and photograph lovely spontaneous moments, that no doubt, everyone else was too preoccupied to notice. So she not only got outstanding portraits, but also captured the essence of the place where we married and conveyed these little moments and details that give people a real sense of the occasion and its mood. We never force our album on anyone - people just love to look at it!
